PUPPY PRE-SCHOOL

Unfortunately we are all too familiar with the consequences of having untrained/unsocialised dogs within the family unit. Many young dogs are surrendered to shelters and euthanased because of behavioural problems and aggression. Many of these problems can be avoided by correct guidance in the first few weeks of a puppy's life.

Aims of puppy preschool

• To socialise puppies with other dogs, people, sounds, and new experiences to prevent development of fear, aggression and antisocial behaviour.

• To educate owners on the correct ways of dealing with common puppy behavioural problems such as biting, jumping and destructive behaviour.

• To identify any potential behavioural problems and institute corrective measures.

• To teach basic obedience, handling and toilet training.

• Advice is also given on a wide range of health and nutrition matters.
